I’m All Shook Up

I was lying in bed last night, doing a little bit of nothing and a whole lot of spacing out, when an earthquake hit (5.6 to be exact). I had just finished eaves dropping on my neighbor’s routine of yelling at their 3-year-old daughter and was in the process of returning a friend's phone call, when the room began to sway.

“Damn,” I thought. “I know they mad at that little girl, but do they have to shake the whole damn building.”

“Hello,” my girl said on the other end of the line, the exact same time the whole apartment building vibrated harder, (ha ha, okay get mind out of the gutter) knocking a few pictures off the shelves.

“Oh sh*t! It’s an earthquake,” I said into the phone, finally putting two and two together.

I could hear my roommate yelling from the doorway of her bedroom for me to get my lazy ass up. It was weird too, because the friend I was on the phone with, lives about 45 minutes away. After the quake was over for me (and I had finally sauntered into the doorway) the quake was just then hitting her house. Creepy.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Anyone wanna party with this guy?

Yikes! I'm glad you're okay.

Earthquakes are my worse fear. Every since that one Superman movie where Lois Lane dies in an earthquake and he spins the earth around to make her live. Yeah. I ain't been the same since then.

bb- yeah it took me a min to catch on, but I always see earthquakes as the world just having an orgasm anyway…

so- you would! Terrible, chasin’ skirts and don’t know what to do w them when you catch them lol

s/c/w- yeah it was small. Thanks for the superman analogy. I would like to believe that if something dramatic did happen to me in a natural disaster I would have a super hero to have my back…

Nice, I was in class with a bunch of international students that flipped out. It was actually rather funny to watch I almost forgot to get under the table. But at least they ended class early.

I couldn't imagine being in an earthquake. I like it here...we don't have any natural disasters. It's weird, really.

torrance- yeah I noticed on your blog you were in Diego, my brother lives in Diego…

c. w.- that is too funny. Wish I could have been there, I would have made some sound effects or something, scare them even more…

ms. b- you too! It wasn’t that bad honest, but thanks…

betty boob- that’s how I am too. Bored. If I didn’t have people around me yelling, I probably would have just enjoyed the vibrations in my bed…

p_r- no you re good, buda ba chu

cr- this one wasn’t that bad, knocked down a few photos, shook everyone up, that’s it. Where do you live, I might have to look into that…

NYC- when I drink, there always is an earthquake…

bella- that is a good choice of wording. Simply they suck ha ha
